On April 18, 2014, at about
1:18 pm, former Mahnomen Sheriff's Office K9 Deuce was
laid to rest.
K9 Deuce served Mahnomen
County Sheriff's Office from October 2003 until he
retired in September 2012. During his years of
service, K9 Deuce was involved in searches of lost
people, Drug search warrants, warrant arrests and
the apprehension of a number of felony arrests as well
as a number of K9 demonstrations.
The Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office wishes to thank K9
Deuce for his many years of service - He will be missed.

The Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer in the
County. The Sheriff is an elected official serving a
four year term. The Sheriff’s Office provides policing
services to 16 townships, the cities of Mahnomen and
Bejou, covering 576 miles.
The Sheriff’s Office staff consists of 14 full-time
deputies, one part-time deputy, six
Dispatcher/Jailers, one Administrative Assistant, and
numerous civilian Transport Officers.
