The Mahnomen County Attorney’s Office currently
announces an opening for a full-time assistant county attorney. The
position requires a variety of supervisory and administrative work
in prosecuting misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, felonies, juvenile,
guardianship, commitment, and paternity actions for the county.
The candidate will perform a great deal of administrative work in
researching, reading, and interviewing in general preparation for
each case. The candidate will also be responsible for
charging, investigating, and representing the county in each court
appearance. The candidate will also work with other agencies
to perform quality work ethics. The candidate will perform all
other duties as assigned or directed by the County Attorney.
All applicants must have a minimum of two years of
experience in criminal prosecution or defense, have graduated from
an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor Degree, and have a
license to practice law in the State of Minnesota.
