 The Mahnomen County Highway
Department is charged with construction and maintenance
of approximately 134 miles of paved highway, 150 miles
of gravel road and 51 structures on the state bridge
inventory list. Approximately 199 miles of the system
are County State Aid Highways which are funded through
the Transportation Users Tax Fund (Gas Tax) and 85 miles
of County Road which are funded through local property
taxes.
